• Materials meet NISO-LBI specifications

• Wrap the Cambric around the fold of the first and last sections of the book.
• Tip the loose Cambric to the spine.
• Sew onto the book through the fold leaving the Cambric loose between the folio and the book block as a guard.

The Conservation CC endpaper is a single folio reinforced with our 1.25” cotton Cambric tape. One inch of the tape is adhered along the outer edge of the fold with the remaining ¼” wrapped around the fold and adhered to the other side.

The Conservation DD endpaper is a single folio reinforced with our 1.25” cotton Cambric tape divided equally on each side of the fold and glued in place.

• Recase previously bound books.
• Nest a single folio to form a four-page endsheet that can be attached with a Smyth or National sewing machine or sewn by hand.

At the request of conservation librarians, LBS developed this folded endpaper reinforced with Hollytex, a spun-bonded polyester material used by conservators to repair book pages. The reinforcement tape is 2” wide and extends past the fold 3/8”.
