Rear-Fed Materials
These materials are designed to strongly reinforce the spine of the bookblock and have been approved to run on rear-fed, or narrow reel, equipment. LBS has master rolls in stock that can either be delivered "as is" or slit to size and shipped in just days.
Nylon Stretch
Nylon Stretch is an exclusive material developed by LBS. This material's flexibility allows the spine to expand into a round and back form and hold its shape like no other product in the market.

Cotton Stretch
Due to its superior stretch, this fabric is an excellent choice for rounding and backing. The cotton fibers form a strong bond to the spine creating a sturdy bookblock.

Its tight weave minimizes adhesive squeeze-through while its exceptional stretch makes it an excellent choice for books requiring rounding and backing.

Cotton Specification
Designed for use on square back books, this thin, strong material provides a tight, smooth hinge. The cotton fibers form a strong bond to the spine creating a sturdy bookblock.

GP2R
This unique material reinforces the bookblock from head to tail while capping the spine. By combining capping paper and a super-like fabric, a two-step process becomes one. This combination offers you money saving options such as elimination of a workstation and reduction of inventory. GP2R is recommended for bookblocks less that 1.5" wide.

GP5W
Like GP2R, GP5W combines paper and an open-weave fabric. The fabric reinforces the bookblock and the paper caps the spine, combining a two-step process into one. Because this material is extremely strong, it is recommended for use on bookblocks larger than 1.5" wide. It also reinforces the spine from head to tail and can be applied prior to rounding and backing, creating a very sturdy bookblock.
