Tradeshow recap - Graph Exo 2011
Peter Martini of Dr. Gunther Kast Company spent two days with us at Graph Expo, sharing his vast knowledge of bookbinding while visiting a variety of bindery equipment and digital printing equipment exhibits. In addition to learning what was new in binding and printing technology, we stopped and listened to what Frank Romano had to say while speaking at the Kodak exhibit. The common theme throughout the show was shorter run lengths and how to successfully manage this trend.
Joe Dunham and I recently returned from a great trip to New York City. The purpose of the trip was to exhibit at the Publishing Business Conference and Expo. The sponsors of Publishing Business continue to do a masterful job of giving publishers and book manufacturers - new and old - a reason to attend. From sessions on digital printing and e-readers to giving away over 350 iPads to paid attendees, the show brought in a strong audience for those of us exhibiting.

We’re sorting through stacks of gorgeous books and sheets of new cover material, making final tweaks to our booth display and debating what this year’s door prize should be.
