Cover Materials
Essential for both function and aesthetics, cover materials give books their signature feel, offering strength, texture, and design versatility. LBS has a selection of coated and natural fabrics, papers, and leathers stocked in a variety of colors and finishes.
Cover Board
Cover boards provide a sturdy foundation for book covers, ensuring durability and a professional, long-lasting finish. LBS’ exclusive PRIMEONE® board is made in the USA and features the same characteristics as our various graphic boards:warp-resistance, smooth texture, and even color. We also carry a selection of specialty boards like foam board, ideal for children’s books or diploma holders.
Reinforcing Material
Reinforcing materials strengthen a book’s spine and hinges, ensuring durability and long-term usability. Each material was created for ease of use in the bindery. LBS has master rolls in stock that can be delivered “as is” or slit to size.
Endsheets
Endsheets enhance a book’s strength while offering a smooth transition from the cover to the interior content. LBS uses only tried and true endleaf papers proven to be durable enough to withstand a lifetime of flexes.
Headbands
Headbands in bookbinding add a decorative touch to the head and tail of your book.Our inhouse manufacturing allows us to supply the short-run, on-demand market with self-adhesive headbands.
